Condi Rice Campaigns for VP Slot

Well I’m sure the folks in Israel are keeping a close on eye on this possibility:
ABCNews’ Mary Bruce Reports: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is actively courting the vice presidential nomination, Republican strategist Dan Senor said.
“Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this,” Senor said this morning on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”
“There’s this ritual in Washington: The Americans for Tax Reform, which is headed by Grover Norquist, he holds a weekly meeting of conservative leaders — about 100, 150 people, sort of inside, chattering, class types,” Senor said. “They all typically get briefings from political conservative leaders. Ten days ago, they had an interesting visit — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice — the first time a secretary of state has visited the Wednesday meeting.”
I guess Condi has determined that she doesn’t have enough time left in the current Bush administration to completely sell-out Jerusalem to the Palestinians, so she needs a second go-round.
I know as a good Republican I am supposed to fawn all over Rice, but she’s aided the selling out of Jerusalem and yet somehow she and President Bush continue to be perceived as pro-Israel. Explain that to me.
Have they been as bad a Democrat would be? No, but is that the standard we’re now holding Republicans to?
I mean is the “Well the Republicans have been bad but the Democrats would have been worse” really the best line of thinking to get advance conservatism?
Just something to muse about.
