Chinese Spies Arrested

Posted by Joshua Price on February 11, 2008

Here’s an excerpt from a very interesting story in The Washington Times today:

The FBI today arrested a Pentagon official and two Chinese-born residents on espionage charges for passing defense secrets to China, the Justice Department announced.
Gregg William Bergersen, 51, of Alexandria, was arrested at his home on espionage charges. Tai Shen Kuo, a Taiwan-born U.S. citizen, 58, and Yu Xin Kang, a Chinese national, 33, both of New Orleans, were arrested in New Orleans on charges of conspiracy to provide defense secrets to China.
Mr. Bergersen worked as a weapons system analyst for the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, in Arlington, which is in charge of U.S. arms sales to foreign nations. He held a top-secret clearance.
One official said the case involved the transfer of command, control, communications and intelligence equipment originally sold to Taiwan that was diverted to China.

But they aren’t the only ones:

Meanwhile, a former Boeing engineer was arrested this morning after being indicted last week on charges of economic espionage and acting as an unregistered Chinese agent.
Dongfan “Greg” Chung, 72, of Orange, Calif., a Rockwell International engineer until the company was bought by Boeing in 1996, was arrested at his home in Orange, Calif.
Mr. Chung, was indicted Wednesday on eight counts of economic espionage, one count of conspiracy to commit economic espionage, one count of acting as an unregistered foreign agent, one count of obstruction of justice, and three counts of making false statements to FBI investigators.
A naturalized U.S. citizen, Mr. Chung held a top-secret clearance.

I’ll get to these traitors in a minute but what does this say about that wonderful–according to the globalists and greedy businessmen–country, China?

Here’s what the justice Department says:

“all the elements of a classic espionage operation: a foreign government focused on accessing our military secrets; foreign operatives who effectively use stealth and guile to gain that access; and an American government official who is willing to betray both his oath of public office and the duty of loyalty we rightly demand from every American citizen.”

Certain foreign governments are committed to obtaining the American trade secrets that can advance the development of their military capabilities” (my emphasis added)

This can’t be! In fact I’m quite certain the Justice Department is mistaken. I mean, we’ve been told by the globalists that China is a wonderful trading partner interested only in expanding her economy and making prices cheaper for American consumers. Also, please don’t forget that China has made significant progress towards democratic reforms.

Please. Spare me the excuse-making when you’re trying to sell America out for every possible dollar.

China cannot be trusted. China is interested in bettering China, not in a mutually beneficial trading partnership with America.

You see, it would behoove us to take an America first approach to our trading policies. What you have to understand is that every country we trade with already takes their interests into account before ours. Why don’t we?

I’ll let you figure that one out…

Now on to the traitors. By the way, why aren’t they being charged with treason? Make no mistake: people who sell or leak sensitive information related to America’s defense and national security are traitors and should be treated as such!

  1. Anon said

    they should be executed…slowly.

  2. I couldn’t agree more.

The real question, however, is why aren’t more people outraged by this? Why aren’t more people calling this what it is, treason?

It’s unbelievable. I mean is calling it treason to harsh for this sensitive, liberal time?
