Iran is a Problem Not Being Addressed Appropriately

This is really interesting to me:
Iranian leaders have assured the Iraqi government that the Islamic republic will take a more active role in squelching the movement of armor-piercing explosives into Iraq, but Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said he finds their promises hard to believe.
“It is my understanding that they have provided such assurances,” said Mr. Gates, who sat alongside Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. “I don’t know if I believe them. I’ll wait and see.”
I am going to ask an obvious question: Why isn’t more being done about Iran, the head of terrorism? All we are doing is pursuing sanctions of our own and through the U.N.
Something is going on here. either our leaders are afraid of Iran due to their likely nuclear arsenal, we are indeed stretched too thin militarily, or President Bush had ulterior motives for going in to Iraq, namely revenge for the attempt on his father’s life, not oil like the liberals would have you believe. Or maybe Bush is misguided in his efforts to protect America.
What I love is our wonderful Sec. of Defense Robert Gates saying regarding Iran’s promise to stop sending ammo and armor designed to kill our men and women fighting Iraq that he will “wait and see.” Wait for what? For more of our men and women to die as a result of Iran’s involvement with the terrorists in Iraq?
I honestly don’t know what is going on with respect to Iran, I mean, the Hitler of our time is telling us exactly what he wants to do to Christians and Jews and yet we slap him on the wrist by going down the ineffective diplomacy trail. Someone please explain this to me. Why aren’t we doing more?
