McCain Campaign Floundering Financially

According to the Associated Press (AP), Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign is undergoing staff cutbacks and reorganization.
The announcement comes as a result of McCain’s campaign raising only $11.2 million during the second quarter. He is currently third in fundraising among GOP hopefuls. He trails Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney.
The AP story quotes a McCain campaign spokesman Brian Jones as saying:
“A campaign is a dynamic organization like a business, and we have to take the necessary steps to ensure it’s as efficient and effective as possible.”
The business analogy holds true in another aspect. Consumers determine the success of a product marketed by a business by voting for or against the product with their dollars. Donors serve essentially the same purpose in political campaigns, and it seems as though they are voting against the McCain campaign with their dollars. This is undoubtedly good news for conservatives.
