Thanks, Josh. I'm just an accountant with an MBA (hopefully CPA soon enough) who finally had enough with the lies. I couldn't just sit idly by and watch all of this happen without doing something.

According to the greenie-weenies, I'm either an oil company employee or I'm funded by oil companies. It's amazing how brainwashed these people are.

You're right on that last point. Many of them just use global warming as a vehicle for political change (radical change as it may be). Maybe that's why so many of them have been exposed for the hypocrites they are, especially Gore himself with his multi-million dollar energy-sucking estate.

You know, papertiger, I'd really like to believe that's what Bush is up to but I can't. I think he's taken a liberal position on a liberal issue like he has on spending, immigration and that wonderful attempt to buy the senior citizen vote, Medicare prescription drug reform.

How did that work out for Bush? Not so well.

I agree that many of the liberals who profess to care so deeply about global warming in fact couldn't care less about it.

Here is what's happening. The unpopular Bush is using his personal stigma to muddy an issue that Democratic congress likes to pretend they are in favor of, but really hate. The Donks hate the climate change issue first of all because they don't understand it, so when they talk about it on the record it makes them look foolish.
Second they don't like it because AGW is a loser issue with the public. Nobody believes this horse manure in their soul.
Some people are willing to pretend as long as they get validation from the herd, and that accounts for the 30% or so who profess to believe.
Bush is forcing the donks to move on an unpopular issue early enough so that it drives a wedge between the donk superdelegates and their candidates.

Explain to me how Gore gets away with this? Do these liberal morons not realize that Gore has basically turned this whole global warming/green crusade into a business?

It's unbelievable the job that Gore is doing. He's hoodwinked Pat Robertson and now Bush has caved, though I don't believe it took much to get Bush to cave.

By the way AE, your forum is an outstanding resource. I've been scanning over it the last few minutes and it's a great source for information and debate.

What's your background?
